Question 1: What is Tap Retail?
Answer 1: Tap Retail is a new platform where you can purchase from local stores and either have your order delivered on the same-day, in a two hour timeslot of your choosing or collect your order from the store in question. We currently deliver to customers who are located within a 5km radius of the store in question. We are launching our new platform with 6 fantastic retailers: We are delighted to launch our new platform with 6 fantastic retailers: Robbie's Greengrocer & Food Store, Fenelon's Butchers Stillorgan, George's Fish Shop Stepaside, Fleming's Butchers & Food Store Kilmacud, Nearby Lamb's Cross & AmorA Gifts & Jewellery. Ultimately, our ambition is to expand platform in the future so that consumers can purchase from any local store within a 5km radius of their location and have their order delivered to them within several hours.

Question 2: Can I order from multiple stores in one checkout?
Answer 1: Currently, we do not support multiple store pickups on the same order or the ability to purchase from multiple stores in one checkout. Each order placed on the platform is a unique order which will be sent to the retailer in question.

Question 3: How is Tap Retail different from other delivery services?
Answer 1: Tap Retail was created to give local retailers, small and large, a centralized, online platform where they can list, advertise and ultimately sell their products. We aim to supercharge the online shopping experience, making the contents of stores discoverable and available for delivery to local consumers located within a 5km radius of their store. On Tap Retail, you can browse from a selection of local stores, order items & have them delivered on the same day, in a 2 hour timeslot of their choosing. Alternatively, you can collect from the store at a time defined by the individual retailer.

Question 4: Can I search for a specific item in a defined location?
Answer 1: Yes. You will be able to search the contents of all stores on our platform up to a max 10km radius of your location. This means that if you see something you like, you can order an item, pay for it & either collect or have it delivered to you in a 2 hour timeslot of your choosing.

Question 5: Why are there cut-off times for delivery slots?
Answer 1: On Tap Retail, we implement cut-off times for our delivery and collection slots, which means that you must have placed your order for the next available timeslot 1 hour before the commencement of the slot. For example, for the 12pm-2pm timeslot, you must have placed your order by 11am at the latest. When this cut-off time has passed, you will not be able to place an order for this timeslot. We implement these cut-off times for the benefit of our retail partner stores & delivery riders. This gives our partner stores sufficient time to be able to gather the items in your order & have them available for a delivery rider to bring them to you or for you to collect them at the agreed time.

Question 6: Can I order for tomorrow on Tap Retail?
Answer 1: Yes, on Tap Retail, you can order for delivery tomorrow. In fact, you can place an order for up to 7 days in advance.

Question 7: How do fees work on Tap Retail?
Answer 1: Delivery Fee – The delivery area for our retailer partners is a 5km radius around their shop. We charge a base delivery fee of €4 if you are located within a 2km radius of the store. The delivery fee increases incrementally by 60c for each additional km up to a maximum fee of €5.80 if you are located a full 5km from the store in question. This is to ensure we pay our delivery riders fairly for their efforts. Service Fee - €1 is applied to each order to give you the best service possible & help us improve our platform.
